Opera and Narrative Collaboration
"MADAMA BUTTERFLY"

On March 15th and 16th, 2024, at the Aim Universe Tedako Hall's Small Hall, we are proud to stage "Opera and Narrative Collaboration: Madama Butterfly." This event commemorates the 100th anniversary of Puccini's passing and the 120th anniversary of the opera's premiere. Set against the backdrop of Nagasaki in the Meiji era, this poignant tale of love and sorrow is presented in a novel format that intertwines opera with narrative, told through the memories of the character Suzuki. Building on the success of its highly praised performance in Tokyo (Asakusa Public Hall) in 2022, this production introduces a new depth to the narrative with cutting-edge projection mapping. Tickets are available for purchase at various ticket outlets, through Teket, or via the Ticket Application Form provided below.
